I think what you said made a great deal of sense. But, consider this, what if you wrote a catchier title? I am not saying your content is not solid, but suppose you added something that grabbed a person's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little boring. You might look at Yahoo's front page and watch how they write article titles to get viewers to click. You might try adding a video or a related pic or two to get people interested about what you've written. Just my opinion, it could make your posts a little livelier.
